Dive Into Today

When you dive into today…

… The energy and thoughts you bring into the day matters.

… Your gifts can have impact on both your life and the lives of others.

… Your vision needs to be seen and experienced, because only you can express YOUR unique gifts to the world.

…. Your voice needs to be heard. You have things to tell us that only you can say.

My art has always been to inspire your brilliance. I’m calling on you today to step up or miss yet another opportunity to be guided.

Then you’ll have to hope another chance arises, when you’re ready.

Regrettably, those who wait until they are ready never are.

The reason is, saying you’ll wait until you’re ready is a reaction called fear of change, fear of the unknown, fear of knowing that you can live life on your own terms, where you’re responsible for your own outcomes.

When you step-up and act, you instinctively know that your life will change. I know that change may seem frightening. The reason is, it’s diving into the deep part of the pool called the “unknown.”

I invite you to replace that fear with newfound courage; the courage called action.

Here is your first action step.

Fill out the pre-coaching survey at http://billgluth.com/QForm.htm. I’ll help you see where you and your business are now, clearly.

Your only cost for this initial analysis of your business and gifts is the time you spend.

Are you ready to step up and live the life you truly desire instead of the life you’re settling for right now?

Business and Career in the 21st Century

We’re living in the 21st Century – a time that is filled with new ideas, technologies, insights and potentials.

The problem is, most people continue to live principles developed in the early 1900’s, which was the start of the industrial revolution.

This was a time when the “masses” were trained to work in factories or offices.

Most people have been conditioned to believe you must get a degree or learn a trade, have a career path to follow, get a job and earn a paycheck from a business entity that takes care of you.

Today, those business entities are not able to sustain everyone. The old school career path is not stable any longer.

You don’t have to go to work in a job you hate.

You must create values that utilize your greatest gifts, your talents, knowledge, passion and experience, in a way that enhances the lives of others.

This is the time to shift the paradigm of work.

I’m purposing a revolution of happiness through small business.

You must develop your talents, gain experience, find your passion and drink from the well of knowledge from a variety of sources.

Then you must use your talent, knowledge, passion and experience to create your “art” and impact those who resonate with you most.

It’s all about personal self-empowerment, which is the only true path to a life of freedom, satisfaction and joyful success and fulfillment.

Get Ready for 2012

Have a wonderful, safe, prosperous and very Happy New Year

30 December 2011 at 15:42 - Comments

2012 is the Year of Focused Action

Every New Year presents a new set of circumstances.

From my position in small business I’m seeing 2012 as the year of focused action.

That means you don’t have time to waste.

Focus on what your want in your business. Write down real decisions you’ve made about 2012 in plan form.

Eliminate encumbrances, distractions and other things that inhibit your progress in reaching your true goals.

Plan each day. Ask yourself, “What will I do todaytoday to achieve my focused decisions (goals) in 2012?” Be sure you’re moving forward productively every day.

If revenue growth is your goal, make sure 40% or more of every working day is spent on sales related, revenue generating activities. Social media is great, but if it isn’t generating sales you need to put a new plan in place.

The point is to focus on what you want to achieve and take REAL steps every day to achieve it.

If you don’t know what you want or how to go about getting it, then get help so you can see your business from a broader perspective.

2012 is a powerful year and you can be the change you want to see in the world. The secret is to know what you want and take action every day to get it.

In other words, focus.

We Need to Create More Fun

I was listening to a teleseminar with a noted sales trainer named Stan Billue last week.

The subject was cold calling. I know, AAAAHHHH … right?

But Stan is unique.

He takes something like cold calling and actually has fun with it.

How does he do that?

There are many ways. For example, he makes light of the fact the person being called probably hates the call as much as you do making it.

Stan suggests making your introduction more fun.

If following Stan’s lead I might do something like, “This is Bill Gluth. That’s like glue with a th at the end so I hope this idea sticks with you.”

How can you have more fun right now?

Lighten up.

Make the stress of the day lighter, even funny and learn to laugh at yourself.

Share that joyful, no stress, fun energy with the people you encounter today.

Have fun and make your workday more of a play day instead.

After all, a small business that is developed to create values that enhance the lives of others is how we actually play as adult human beings.

Realities of Home Based Business

When it comes to home based business there is quite a bit of confusion. I addressed some of the typical questions in a recent Linked In group post.

It’s important to understand that a home based business can be based on a number of different business models. Most people think network marketing is the only home based business model.

That’s not the case.

I demystified business models in this free coaching session video. Be sure to listen to it if you want to understand small business models better.

Here’s the thing about home based small business.

Anyone can start one but it takes self-empowerment, focus and consistent action every day to succeed.

I have learned firsthand, over the past 10 years of coaching entrepreneurs and small business owners, that unless passion exists for the business being pursued, often, the business owner will jump from one thing to the next.

So build your home business and personal brand this way:

Understand your talent, knowledge, passion and experience.

Relate those gifts and skills to a group of people you could potentially serve. This is called the niche audience. The tighter the niche, the greater the potential for success.

Understand the problem that keeps your niche(s) up at night.

Then create a value (products, services and experiences) that enhances the lives of each niche you want to serve.

Market by educating your target group consistently every day.

Make sure you have a winning sales process developed and follow it consistently.

Start each morning by planning and scheduling every hour of your day.

Follow the plan consistently. Keep every appointment you set with yourself faithfully.

Make sure sales activity comprises at least 40% of every working day. 60% is even better. If you’re a start up 90+% of your day will be in sales related activities because you don’t have any clients yet to serve.

If you want to understand the sales process better go to: http://bit.ly/omXdd3 - free information no opt in required.

If you want to get more done every day check out:http://bit.ly/ti7ZN4 and take the 101 course for free.

If you want to know why running a small business is so darn hard download my book Why is Running a Business So Darn Hard at http://bit.ly/mqYpm5 again, free, no opt in required.

And if you want my personal coaching help for any price you are willing to pay take a look at my special holiday promo for “Name your own price coaching” athttp://bit.ly/rShcw7

But above all, empower yourself first. Find your passion and get to work, consistently.

Plan, get focused and take consistent action.

That’s the formula I’ve seen work time-and-time again to take you from where your are now to where they want to be in a small business of your own creation.

And whatever you do, educate and demonstrate your value and please stop pitching us to death. We learn to ignore you when you do and that’s not what you want at all.

God bless you all. Your home based small business is the future of work. Self-empowered entrepreneurs can turn the tide of the sagging US economy. Your business is a gift and a blessing. You need to be heard.

I wish you nothing but success, peace and fulfillment in 2012 and beyond.
